Etiology, pathogenesis
Absent or insufficient androgen effect on the target
organs during the critical stage of the development can
be caused by two mechanisms:
- by disorder of testicular development, the testis regresses during
the development and stops working (vanishing testis, dysgenetic testis)
- by disorder of biosynthesis and androgen metabolism
