Infantile digital fibromatosis (inclusion body fibromatosis)
Clinical signs
  • papules of the fingers (less frequently of toes)
  • size up to 2 cm
  • smooth, usually no pain
  • age: children, one third of cases is congenital
  • rare
  • prognosis is good, some cases recurr after surgery
  • spontaneos regression is possible
Histology
Fibroblastic proliferation, collagen formation. Eosinophilic inclusion of size up to that of erythrocytes within cytoplasm of fibroblasts.
