Congelatio (frostbite)
Clinical signs
  • acute frostbite:
    • 1st grade, erythema;
    • 2nd grade, bullae;
    • 3rd grade, necroses
  • chronic cold causes chillblains (perniones), red or purple macules (nose, ears, fingers, thighs)
  • hypersensitivity to cold can be caused by other diseases (vascular disorders, cryoglobulinemia)
